Shamrock Plank Flooring

Appalachian Flooring is exhibiting its full line of prefinished solid, domestic and exotic products, as well as engineered products at Surfaces 2010. The company recently became FSC-certified.

Cikel's Vila Velha collection of exotic engineered Brazilian cherry flooring features a hand-scraped, rotary-cut wear layer and FSC Chain of Custody certification. The product is offered in 5-inch-wide, 4-foot-long planks, and it can be glued down or floated above or below grade. Pictured is the Tobacco color.

HomerWood now offers a collection of Amish Hand-Scraped Flooring for its Character Grade line. The back of the plank can bear the name of the craftsman, and planks can be signed by the craftsman or customized with a family name on the front. The collection is available prefinished and unfinished in four species and 3- to 7-inch widths.

Mirage has added a 6½-inch width to its Sweet Memories series that includes Handcrafted Oak and Aged Maple. Also, the series is now available in lengths up to 6 feet. The boards come with a Cashmere finish.

Model Hardwood Inc. has added the Regina stain to all of its flooring collections. The company says the brown and gold stain evokes wheat fields of Saskatchewan. In fact, the company has dedicated the stain to Canada's wheat growers.

Premiere is showcasing its latest contract finishing asset, Wood Grain Enhanced prefinished flooring. This technology allows its customers to market and sell flooring appearing to be “forest hardwood” while utilizing sustainable plantation timbers with lower species cost. The process is suitable for solid, engineered, and laminate production.

Shamrock Plank Flooring recently launched the Rancho Madera Collection of distressed flooring. The engineered flooring is ½-inch thick and 7 inches wide, with lengths ranging from 1-7 feet. The flooring's hand detail is done by skilled artisans, Shamrock says. Pictured is the Concho color.

Shaw Industries Inc. has added the hand-scraped Hudson Bay style to its Epic Engineered Hardwood Collection. Available in hickory, this flooring is ⅜-inch thick and available in mixed widths of 3¼, 5 and 7 inches. Available colors include Raw Silk, Schoolhouse, Copperidge and Brushwood (pictured).

Summitt Forest Products' Private Reserve Handcrafted hardwood flooring is available in plank lengths up to 12 feet (solid) and 7 feet (engineered). This flooring line is available in 35 standard colors as well as factory-finished, fully warranted custom-color options. Pictured is American Hickory Amaretto.

Urban Floor says its Italian-influenced Villa Caprisi line is ultra-wide and extra-long. In fact, this European white oak engineered flooring is 9½ inches wide and 87 inches long. The line is available in eight colors, with Brushed, Smoked and Hand-Carved textures. Also, the flooring is prefinished with an Easy-Care lacquer, and it includes a lifetime structural warranty.
